How Marathon Permitting Works
ViewPoint Cloud portal
The City of Marathon takes permits through its ViewPoint Cloud portal. Special inspectors register there too.
Inspection timing
Inspections run Monday through Friday and must be scheduled 24 hours ahead. A request after 3:30 PM can take up to two business days.
Planning coordination
Many projects need Planning Department review alongside the building permit, especially new development.
Flood rules
Like the rest of the Keys, most work in Marathon must meet floodplain requirements.
Keys building allocations
New development in the Keys is limited by building allocation rules tied to hurricane evacuation. We check early whether your project is affected.
