How Palmetto Bay Permitting Works
Register on the Village portal
All contractors must register on the Village's online portal before applying. Applications, plans and revisions are uploaded online.
Review times
The Village targets up to 10 working days for residential review and 15 for commercial. Outside-agency reviews, such as county fire, add time.
Walkthrough Wednesday
Qualifying projects can get same-day permits through the Village's Walkthrough Wednesday program.
Required documents
Expect signed and sealed drawings, a survey less than a year old, and the legal description. Some projects also need energy calcs, structural calcs or a landscape plan.
Notice of Commencement
A Notice of Commencement is required for jobs over $5,000.
